Blair Kamin's blog, here's a link to a
ChicagoCatholicNews story from Saturday saying a deal has been reached to save the four towers of the historic, long closed and threatened
St. Boniface church, with a senior living complex apparently to be built between them, replacing the former church's sanctuary.

Preservation Chicago, the citizens' group, has been fighting for years to save St. Boniface.
Without them and outspoken neighborhood residents, the church would have been lost long ago.
The towers really won't be half as beautiful without the sanctuary. Shame.
