There will be a memorial service for Aaron Dodd, "the tuba man of Michigan Avenue", on Friday, June 25th at 110:00 a.m., at Friendly Towers, 920 W. Wilson Avenue, followed by burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Zion. Aaron wanted to be buried next to his mother. However, as you might imagine, being a street musician isn't the most lucrative gig in the world. Aaron's family doesn't have the funds to cover the funeral expenses and is asking for donations from the countless friends Aaron made playing his music. Some of those friends have set up an Aaron Dodd Memorial Fund on the Windsong Press website , where you can make your own donation, via credit card or Paypal, or you can send cash or a check to the address below:Brian Frederiksen

Fittingly, Windsong is a website dedicated to brass players, including books by the CSO's great tuba player and teacher Arnold Jacobs. A great place for Aaron.
