What Lies Beneath: The Architecture and Design of Fritz Lang's Metropolis

Metropolis is playing at the Music Box Theatre, 3733 N. Southport, through Thursday June 17th. It should not be missed.
The shining temples we build for our cities, sacred or commercial, serve both as reflection of our hopes and cover for our darkest desires. Nowhere has this been more forcefully - and entertainingly - expressed than in Fritz Lang's delirious 1927 film masterpiece, Metropolis.
