Chicago Streetscene: Down Lake Street

I hope the CTA can find the time to paint the rest of the loop structure the same brown/red color they used on the Wabash side, I think it is quite nice.
I have heard alot of great things about Chicago and am considering moving there. How is the real estate market? Has it been affected by the recession like most of the Southern States?
