Is Dubai God's Way of Telling You you have too much money?

Yes! These projects are shameful husks of egos propped up with sad ideas and shallow intentions. As far as this work goes, I'm glad the economy tanked. I'd rather leave the profession than work there again.

The fountain video is taken from so far away that the buildings look part of a designer's miniature model of the development.
