A stretch of Kinzie street has gone dark recently as the Jay Roberts Antique Warehouse has suddenly disappeared, leaving behind an empty building with windows alternatively soaped or boarded up.

website was answered not by a gallery staffer but a gentlemen who said, yes, the building is under construction, that they'll be back, but it will take a long time. We can only hope.

I was there last week. You should see there newly remodeled gallery! They greeted me with a glass of wine while I browsed ... it was like shopping through an European market.
