From Venice to You: Mobile Food Collective at Merchandise Mart through the 28th
Mobile Food Collective is taking up residence at the Merchandise Mart through next Friday, January 28th. Described by Blair Kamin as "a mobile food cart, designed to spread the gospel of locally-grown food", Archeworks describes the MFC, which exhibited at the U.S. Pavilion at last fall's Venice Biennale, as "mobile architecture engaging communities across Chicago in a new fresh food culture through collaborative exchange and urban agriculture education . . . " Weekdays only, interactive programming is scheduled for 11:00 a.m.. to 1:00 p.m., and again from 3:30 to 5:30 next to the food court (irony of ironies) on the Mart's 2nd floor.
